$7.5m estate to grace Lubowa hill

Lubowa hill on the Kampala-Entebbe highway is fast carving out as a home for luxury apartments, following the addition of a modern housing estate, the spring hills apartments.

The $7.5m (sh13b) estate, is a brainchild of Pearl Estates Limited, a subsidiary of Picfare Uganda. It is in the final stages and sits on a three-acre piece of land. It has 64 housing units, 32 of which are three bed-roomed while the remaining are two-bedroom apartments.

Mitul Jobanputra, the Managing Director, Pearl Estates, says the project will offer quality and affordable apartments to Ugandans. He says Ugandans should brace themselves for the best because Pearl Estates has been into international operations and has just concluded a large project in Congo as well as in Wales, United Kingdom.

“Spring hills apartments will be an ultra-modern estate. It will be dotted with children’s parks, water falls, jogging and walking tracks, well-designed road network with plantations; an open club house and barbeque facilities that lend credence to luxury living.

They shall also have wifi and pay TV connectivity, intercom and internet,” says Jobanputra. The apartment’s location is a marvel, considering that they are surrounded by a row of hills and they open up to an enchanting lake view that will guarantee a gentle breeze in a calm and serene environment.

Jobanputra insists the apartments will be adorned with stylish and luxurious interiors and all fittings will meet international standards. He says pleasant walls and hand-picked flooring will complete the look.

“Accessibility will not be a problem considering that the apartments are close to the city centre, Entebbe International Airport schools and recreation centres, a quality shopping village, pharmacies and many other amenities.

The improved road infrastructure during CHOGM, has also been a blessing and there is now a major road connecting to Munyonyo,” he notes. He reveals that almost 50% of the apartments have been booked for purchase.

Those booking have paid the initial sh5m and are awaiting the completion arrangements.
